While the wind got us a bit chilled into the later afternoon, this was the best weather we’ve had on a match day so far this season. Our dominant girls put on a doubles clinic for our new, young boys team who narrowly lost, playing four very close matches and winning two. Both teams were on the sidelines cheering on the Boys #3 Doubles in during their deciding tiebreaker, which they unfortunately lost but fought back and nearly won from a 3-9 deficit to finish 8-10.
Also notable in a match I watched was Eliza McLaughlin. Defending match point, she called a tough ball on her side of the court “in” when it was very close. Always tough, she made us all proud with this consideration of her opponent when she did was unsure about the call.
