More about the Billings Mayfair tournament
The Billings Mayfair tournament allows our teams to solidify our doubles pairs and test our singles each year before the divisional seeding tournament the following weekend. The team setup is different than regular duels with only 2 singles slots and an instead of 3 doubles slots, they play 4. This allows the normal 10 player roster to finish a duel in 6 matches instead of 7, but with less singles matches. To make things quicker still, play starts at 2-2 in the first two sets to 6, then a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. This way we get in 6 duels in 2 days, which is great for the players to see lots of different opponents and get many chances at fresh matches.
